I fall for a stupid Text scam

Okay, we have our own fair share of recieving SCAM TEXT MESSAGES. I usually don't fall for this type of things especially for those obvious ones saying that i won a bloody car and i should blindly send the idiotic scammer my Bank account number.

Also, i recieve some scam sms saying "this is von, please send me load. i need it asap"

like HELLO! who does she thinks she's fooling!

and first of all, WHO THE FCUK IS VON? i don't know anyone by the name of von , so i just ignore it.

BUT NOW! the asshole actually attached my name saying:

Translation:
[Steph, How are you there, Is it possible for you to load my phone now?]

*The last sentence is somewhat an informal speech so i can't really translate it to the exact thing or i just don't know hahaha*

It's somewhat said it in a way that she is saying we are somewhat  "related" or "close".

*back on track*

At first i was like

"okay, whose this jerk and had the nerve to ask me send him load"
"Is this a scam again?"
"Oh no wait! the asshole knows my name!!"

yup, that was pretty much what was going inside my head.

i politely replied her

"Sino ka?" [who are you?]

Asshole: ma, mo ito [this is your mom]

okay, first of all! why would my mom text me using an unknown philippine sim card number and ask for load?! my mom is currently at the kingdom with my dad and my brother and everytime my mom calls me, the number always appear "015634" or composed of 6 random digits and last,  MY MOM DOESN'T TEXT

and if my mom do text, it would be too damn slow and take up to 2 whole minutes texting for just 1 sentence !!

so i assume it would be my lola [grandmother] so i curiously replied

foolish me: Mami, ikaw ba yan? [Lola, Is that you?]
asshole: Oo, musta na? [yes, how are you?"]

*still not convinced... you know why? MY LOLA DOES'T KNOW HOW TO TEXT! MY GOSH!
but i still ignore the sirens calling that the asshole is a scammer after all she does know my name right?

Foolish me: Mami sa Iligan? [My grandmom from Iligan?]
Asshole: Bka mlolodan mu aqo, paubos n lng ung load qo d2 ha. [Is it possible that you load me, my balance is almost zero]

*still not convinced*

WHY? look at the way she texted!! she doesnt text like old-style-complete-sentence-text but teens-shortcut-way-of-text type of thing! GEDDIT?! and she replied me way to fast like 30 seconds and she texted me as fast as my mom????!!!!!

you've seriously got to be kidding me! My grandmom even barely knows what cellphone is!

so the text goes on ...just me keep on asking her if she really is my lola for like the 100th time!  *okay kidding only 3 times* and i think i got on her nerves cause she replied me "It's me. OKAY! your lola"

i got even more suspicious cause my lola [grandmom] is a sweet, caring and loving lola to me and when i was little lola took care of me when my mom was in the hospital.

Still not convinced so i called her more than 5 times but she didn't answer me! so i texted

Foolish Me: I keep calling you. Why didn't you answer your phone?
The Asshole: poor signal here
Foolish Me: So, you got another number?
The Asshole: Yes, my old simcard got suspended

(this time she almost fooled me and was about to rob me blind)

A really really stupid idiotic Foolish me: Okay, how much will i send?

The Asshole: 1 prepaid card, tg 500 pra mtagal mxpire ., cge [1 prepaid card worth of 500php so that it won't expire that fast. Okay.]

Upon recieving this text message, IT HIT ME! someone as old as my grandmom CANNOT ABSOLUTELY CANNOT USE SUCH STYLE IN TEXTING

like using this one ->      .,

at the end of saying okay and my Grandmom isn't that absurd and demanding!! and My grandmom has her own money . -__- I'm such a fool! so i texted back...

SARCASTIC ME: oh wow! lola you already know how to text now huh? not only that but with style and you pretty much text really fast.

Then the asshole didn't replied to me anymore! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

i did remember, i sent a message at my mom if lola changed her number and my mom called me saying that it was a scam and was reported at the news. (i don't watch TV so i have no idea)

So how did that asshole know my name and number?
.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

because of my CLUELESS SISTER!!!! HA!

It turns out  my sister has been texting this asshole since yesterday!! SMS-ing her that it's mom and it's her new roaming number.

My sister, of couse, without a doubt believe the asshole and have been texting the asshole thingking it was mom saying "  I just got a job blah blah blah"

the Asshole replied something like  "  congratulations. Do well. take care"    then shamelessly ask my sister for load.

Then my sister said she can't pass a load and gave MY NUMBER INSTEAD!

then one thing leads to another

*BOW*

first time i almost got fooled! >.>

Gumiho K-drama

full title is "My Girlfriend is a Gumiho"

recently, got addicted to this drama! i just love everything about it from the characters, the opening sound track to the story plot!

Since i got really attached, i've decided to make a brief comic strip about the drama :)

(sorry to all those who doesn't watch k-dramas, as you can see i really love watching k-dramas)

It's a bit tiring to edit all this in photoshop but it's all worth it! i dedicate this to all MGIG (my gf is a gumiho) fans!!!

I watch the drama via downloading in yellow cinema. BTW you have to register in order to see the links! and don't worry it's free. I recommend downloading it instead of watching it in mysoju.

Why? BECAUSE! their video quality is shitty! that's why!

In yellow cinema all videos are in HD and has a very outstanding quality!

p/s: this drama is still airing so not all episodes and eng sub is complete yet so you have to patiently wait for it.

plot of the story can be found at the link above. Thank you!! :) and hello to all MGIG FANS!!

like my new layout ? :) inspired by MGIG and of course vector image of MGIG made by ~EpicNeutral (credits found at the sidebar)

yes, i am affected

Although this is the kind of topic that almost (i think) all filipino or half of the bloggers i know have blogged and twitted about this tragedy that happened yesterday and probably your sick of hearing this but still i want to voice out my opinons!

As you may have known, OF COURSE, i think all the people across the globe have watched the bus hijacked by a dismissed filipino ex-cop.

I just can't help but get affected when people say that Filipinos are dangerous and bad people.

If you think Philippines is a dangerous place and Filipinos are harsh and bad people then i can't do anything about it but just for your information.

Whatever Mr. Rolando Mendoza did has nothing to do with FILIPINOS as a whole are bad people and are dangerous okay. I understand he is a filipino too but calling Filipinos as a whole (us) dangerous and bad people is just wrong....

as if that wasn't enough, some more call us

MONKEYS!

To all those people who call us monkeys:
You know what.. call us monkeys or whatever! JUDGE US! i don't give a damn anymore but i'm not gonna fight back it's not that i don't care it's because we weren't taught that way. so yeah. /rant

P/S: i also feel bad that 8 hongkongers died in the bus okay.

that unfortunate event happened in the wrong place and the wrong time.

btw. this is an article written by a survivor of the hostage taking - (hongkong national)

Mr. Mendoza was already upset even before he saw on television what the policemen did to his brother. The other tourists who remained inside the bus were complaining.

Wei Ji Jiang wanted to go to the bathroom. Dao Chi Yu was hungry and the rest were just groaning and whining like they have forgotten that our lives rest in Mr. Mendoza’s hands. The hostage taker, as you know him was really nice. He treated us okay and even let the elders and the children leave the bus. He said your policemen treated him unfairly. He was a policeman too and was accused of doing something he had no knowledge of. But your government didn’t listen so he used us to get everyone’s attention.

Things would have never turned for the worst if he didn’t see how his family was dragged out of their house and taken into custody. He was watching the news all the time as we huddled around each other behind the bus.

He shouted some words in your language then started shooting in the air. A girl about my age started screaming. Mr. Mendoza demanded her to stop but she didn’t understand English. God, he had to slash her neck with a knife just to put her to rest. Her boyfriend who tried to hit him was shot in the head. Tension was rising.

You can see in his face how scared and confused he was. The bus driver ran away leaving him alone with strangers from a distant land. I can see him walking across the aisle, sometimes pointing his machine gun to one of the tourists. But he tried his best not to hurt us, especially those who really cooperate.

I guess its in your nature not to inflict pain on others unless it was necessary. I remember him saying that he will free us before sundown and implored us to forget everything when we return home. But his words don’t matter now. The policemen were trying to force their way in, while we all lied down to shield ourselves from bullets.

Mister Mendoza blindly shoots at his enemies which I think kept them from rescuing us. I hear sobs under the chairs. Some were even shouting the names of their loved ones even when the air merely eat their words. Kevin Tang tried to escape when the glass door was was shattered, but one shot and he slumped on the floor with blood gushing from his mouth.

Heavy rain pitter-pattered on the rooftop. In old Chinese saying, it means an end to a struggle. Finally, somebody was able to open the escape hatch at the back of the bus. Freedom. But I knew Mister Mendoza was still alive.

I knew he was just waiting for a chance to strike back at his enemies. So I told those around me not to escape. Let the authorities come for us instead. Then there was gunfire. He was firing at his enemies with a machine gun.

Those who were at the escape hatch fled abandoning us once again. It’s like a nightmare with no end and to wake up means a certain death. Then somebody from outside the bus threw a canister. It forced out a black smoke that is so painful to the eyes and putrid smelling to the nose. People started screaming. We cannot breathe.

Some ran in front of the bus but Mister Mendoza warned them of stray bullets. It was too late. One was hit on the head, the other was hit on the shoulders. Bullets were now flying. Its like the authorities thought we were all dead. Mister Mendoza finally admits his mistake and said sorry to everyone, dead or alive.

He then ran towards the front of the bus where he would meet his maker. As he passed by my chair with bullets whistling overhead, I clutched my hand on the velvet curtain and wrapped it around my face. All I could think of was to stay alive - for my child who is waiting for me back in Xinjang.

I know I will survive, I will come home.

I never know Mr. Mendoza's other side of the story so after i read this i felt really bad.  All this time i've been dissing him and cursing him hope he'd just die!. Right now, i feel like a hypocrite.

BUT STILL

I'm sorry Hongkong for this really unfortunate event, I pray for the victims' soul and their family.

My sincere apology.

filipines?

is it that hard to spell our country Philippines? Don't get me wrong, I'm not offended. I just find it a funny cuz every site i go they always spell it the wrong way and many other funnier versions like pilipines, philipine, philipines.. and so on :))

late 18 b-day post

i feel sorry for my blog. It's been a long long time huh. I didn't even have time to blog about my 18th birthday last july. So, this is a very late birthday entry.

When i was in school, my mom & sis bought this mango cake from red ribbon. Then my  mom bought this wallet from Mango!! it's really unexpected! teehee.

so in other words, my 18th birthday is really simple just the way i like it. I don't want any party slash debut. It's just not my style and I don't like to draw any attention to myself. hahaha!

A simple going out in the mall and watch movies with my mom and sis also with my college friends is something that i could never ask for more. If only my old highschool friends are here it would have been perfect.
